Do you remember a time you enjoyed working with your teammates so much that you continued your relationship even after you left that workplace?
Are you still in contact with all of them or just a part of that team?
What was so special about your relationship with your former colleagues that you either continued or discontinued your contact with them?
Out of my 2 decades of work experience, I think, I had just one team with who we still follow each from time-to-time. And I mean not a few folks from that team but all of them.
I have finally closed my long-awaited debt – read the book “5 Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni (see link in the comments). I highly recommend you read this book!
I have finally closed my long-awaited debt – read the book “5 Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni (see link in the comments). I highly recommend you read this book!
In a nutshell, Lencioni outlined the 5 levels of team dysfunctions from bottom to up. Each dysfunction builds up on top of the other.
The foundation is the 𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 of 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.
Then goes 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧 of 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁.
𝙇𝙖𝙘𝙠 of 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
𝘼𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 of 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
𝙄𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 to 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀.
The book may help you understand what’s going on with your team. You may get ideas about what you and your mates could do to help build your dream team with who you may stay in touch for years exchanging good vibes.
Note from a doctor: while building the dream team, not all initial team participants may remain on a team.
Happy reading!
